I am Diego El Sabroso (which means the tasty one). I've lived in latin america, the U.S. and now i live in Italy. I am a drag king (DC kings) and I like to dance.....a lot. Ciao ragazzi! Mi chiamo Diego il Saporito, ho ventiquattro anni e sono drag king. Ho vissuto in Sudamerica, Gli Stati Uniti e adesso abito in Italia. Mi piace ballare moltissimo! Baci!

DONATELLA BARTOLOMEI (Milano/ITALIA)

Sono cantante ed attrice , ho 36 anni e vivo vicino a Milano. Canto prevalentemente musica jazz ed ho un mio Musical in Tributo a The Rocky Horror Show tutto in italiano (pur NON essendo un'amante del genere Musical). Interpreto il ruolo del protagonista in veste più o meno "Drag-King" (ma in realtà si tratta di un misto di generi). Insegno Canto, Recitazione e Musical presso la mia scuola (ma non solo), TeatrObliO (vedi il primo fra gli "spaces" amici), che è anche sede di numerosi progetti artistici e luogo pieno di creatività. Amo il teatro sperimentale, creativo, VERO, lontano dalla finzione e dalla "pagliacciata giornaliera"; e sto lavorando a progetti miei e non miei in questo ambito. Sto progettando un lavoro molto creativo e fuori da ogni schema di Voce Cantata e Recitata pieno di: rabbia, disperazione, amore, passione, dolore, gioia... in una parola "Autenticità". Collaboro anche con altri artisti e scuole per progetti sia continuativi che saltuari. Sia in ambito musicale che teatrale, amo l'espressività vera e mai commerciale.

DRAG KINGS OF BRUSSELS (Brussels, BELGIUM)

DKB is a group of drag Kings performers, founded by King Gum one and a half year ago. They participated at the L-Week in Brussels, which was their first performance. They also participated at the cabaret of the "Transformer Brussels Festival", the first Queer festival in Brussels. The group's aim is to promote a language, a subversive attitude towards gender. DKB supports the feminist, lesbian, transsexual & transgender movements. They are also very close to Gender Queer movements. Butches, gouines, femmes, transgenders, transsexuals, subversives, straight women/men, this is what they are. "Become somebody who lives in between. Another gender for one night or everyday life!"

JOHNNY DRIFTER (New Orleans/ USA)

Nobody is quite sure where Johnny Drifter came from, except that it was probably on the wrong side of the tracks. The Crescent City King's residential bad boy, he roams the streets of city of New Orleans leaving a wake of broken hearts and broken noses. Johnny started performing in 2008 with the Crescent City Kings, but spent time with the troupe since 2007 as the spray paint-wielding, cardboard and duct tape aficionado that is their art and prop coordinator. Johnny's main interest is portraying the adolescent angst caused by what is often a repressive social environment that results in the aggressive masculine archetype. His oft inebriated, slightly unstable, female identified alter ego, Wendy Bender, approaches drag with a larger gender spectrum within her performances, striving to portray the challenges of those who do not fit snugly within the confines of the gender binary.

Daniela Mory aka Drag King Alberto is an all round performing artist who has established herself in London since 2002.
Daniela has been performing since a very early age with various dance and drama companies in Jerusalem, Milan and the USA.
As an actor in Milan she took on the role of Cassandra from Omero's Odyssey and various roles in Plauto Tito Maccio's Roman liveliest comedies (e.g. 'Miles Gloriosus' or the 'Braggart Warrior') performing regularly at the famous 'Teatro Nazionale' and 'Teatro Nuovo'.
Recently, Daniela focused on developing her musical skills further by obtaining a Diploma in Cotemporary Music Performance form Drumtech music school (London) as well as taking part in percussion courses at the renowned Berklee School of Music, Boston, USA.
Drag King Alberto and The Schmooze Brothers have been a huge success with Alberto's thrilling smash hit 'Dick in the Box' top performance!

Am I a Drag King? Maybe on stage. Sometimes. On stage I can be a girl, a boy, a femme fatale, a man, two halves, whatever. Actually, it is even more about creating a 'third sex' - not as a further gender category, but a place where anyone can trespass the usual gendered behaviour patterns. On stage, offstage, I do not think about myself as a man or a woman: I identify strongly as a transgender person. The travelling between the genders is my place to be. Because the real purpose of life is to move, to progress, at some point you have to leave your comfort zone. One of the ways to do it is to extend your gender identity. Océan was born and raised in France, before living in London and studying in Paris, Oxford and Berlin. First contact with the arts was with Music (award-winner of the Madeleine de Valmalète Piano Competition), then Dance (Tanzfabrik Berlin), and underground Theater (Theater Westöstlicher Divan, Berliner Ground Theater), Océan had his/her stage debut as a drag performer at the Go Drag! Festival with Diane Torr and Bridge Markland in 2002. Having taken acting, singing and scriptwriting classes, Océan is famous for his multimedia-performances involving video-clips and dia-show projections, choregraphy, live singing and poetry slam. Océan acted in a few films in various men or women characters, including “Lost in Generations” and “Fucking Different Tel’Aviv”. Currently on the road, Océan is accompanying the documentary film "Risk, Stretch, or Die" about his transgender life on a world festival and show tour from Canada to Indonesia through Brazil, Russia and the States.
